Community Outreach & Education
It has often been said that prevention is the best medicine, and we at the Georgia Tax Clinic have embraced that idea in our work, too. In addition to helping people with tax problems, we conduct a range of programs across the state to help give the members of our community the knowledge they need to avoid having tax problems in the first place.
Our programs have covered topics including tax considerations for small businesses, individual tax changes in federal legislation, and tax issues facing immigrants and refugees. We are proud to partner with a wide range of community partners in these efforts, including the Georgia Legal Services Program, Congresswoman Lucy McBath, the Latino Community Fund of Georgia, ACE Women’s Business Center, and the Gwinnett Entrepreneur Center.
